How Much Have You Ever Spent on Shoes—and Was It Worth It?

While we recently blogged about socks, today we turn to shoes. The other day, our Editor-in-Chief was catching up with an old friend when the conversation turned—of all things—to shoes. This friend told a story about a pair she loved so much that she wore them until the soles gave out. When they finally couldn’t be repaired, she went right back and bought the same pair again. And then, because they were just that perfect, she bought them in another color too.

It made us pause: sometimes a pair of shoes isn’t just a pair of shoes. They can become part of our daily rhythm, our style identity, or even our comfort zone. And sometimes, the right pair really is worth the splurge.

Of course, what counts as a “splurge” looks different for everyone. For some, it might be $50 sneakers that carry you through years of errands and long walks. For others, it might be a $295 pair of boots that last season after season. There’s no right or wrong answer—it’s about what feels worth it to you.

So we’re curious:
👉 What’s the most you’ve ever paid for a pair of shoes?
👉 And looking back, do you feel like they were worth every penny—or not so much?

We’d love to hear your stories—whether it’s the bargain heels you wore to every wedding for a decade, the sneakers that never let you down, or the designer pair that made you feel unstoppable. Drop your thoughts in the comments or share them with us on social.

Because whether they’re $29 or $295, sometimes the shoes we love the most aren’t about the price tag—they’re about the memories we make while wearing them.
